The Illinois State University Challenge Course is an excellent way to create energy and rejuvenate groups who have been together and know each other well. It is also a great way to get to know new members of your team or staff. The Challenge Course offers a variety of initiative games that address issues varying from silly games that loosen you up and make you laugh to building trust, improving problem solving skills and examining how your team or group communicates with each other. These activities arouse emotional, mental, and physical reactions that are present in all challenging life situations.

Challenge Course Programs Are Great For:

  • Greek organizations who really want to get to know their new members and discuss the role of a leader on campus. Perfect for rush!

Registered Student Organizations
RSO's that are interested in scheduling a date for the Challenge Course should first check out the Dean of Students web site to find out more information about available grants to help you pay for your day. Grants are available for 3 hour sessions for 10 people or less. After reviewing the website, speak with your advisor and the Dean of Students office to begin the grant approval process. Once this process is completed, contact the Outdoor Adventure Program to begin planning your Challenge Course event. We look forward to working with you.

Challenge Course Grant Application

The Challenge Course is always ready for booking. Please review the information on this site, then give us a call with a date in mind. Also, think about the amount of time you want to spend on the Course. We offer three hour and six hour sessions. If you are interested in a course during those cold winter months, we can conduct many activities indoors. If you have questions about the Challenge Course or would like to reserve a date, call the Outdoor Adventure Program at 438-8427.
