Designated by Congress in 1978 as a Wild and Scenic River, the canyon walls are often as high as 1500’ above the river. Wildlife abounds including a variety of birds, reptiles, and mammals. The following day, we will hike through more than 700 species of plant life while gazing at impressive rock formations. A wonderful weekend trip away from classes and corn.

This trail traverses two long glacial valleys and visits spectacularly situated alpine lakes. During this trip you will circumnamvigate 14,005 foot Mount of the Holy Cross and have the possibility to be one fo the few who have ever climbed a peak over 14,00 ft. Lakes, wetlands and waterfalls grace this glacier-carved mountain range and provide the perfect setting for an unforgettable trip. This trip will be physically demanding so make sure you are in good physical condition.

Description: Mother, Mother Ocean, we have heard your call. We've wanted to canoe upon your water, since we planned this trip last fall. Come with us to Everglades National in Everglades City, Florida, for an end-of-the-semester adventure. We will navigate through the mangrove and camp on white sany beaches. We'll keep our eyes for dolphins, manates, sea turtles, and other sea creatures. We might even find that one particular harbor, the one that is so far but yet so near. But that is not all! You'll get a chance to stroll down the avenue known as A1A when we spend the night in Key West taking in the beaches, architecture, and island.
